Raja² Turns the Mediterranean into Its Private Runway

by Vilmos Santa

There are yachts that simply sail and there are yachts that make a statement. Raja belongs firmly to the latter. Delivered in 2025 by Admiral, part of The Italian Sea Group, this 55-metre vessel brings together Italian design, contemporary architecture, and a strong sense of personality. Its bronze-toned hull catches the light in a way that makes it stand out instantly on the water, offering both sportiness and elegance in one sculpted profile.

Owning a yacht of this caliber is never just about performance or design. It is about status, presence, and the ability to experience the sea in a way few others can. That is reflected in Raja’s price tag as well. With an asking price of about €35 million, it is positioned as an exclusive choice for those who want something beyond the ordinary yacht experience, a vessel that is both an investment and a lifestyle.

Raja measures 55.2 metres in length and stretches over a beam of 8.6 metres. Built with an aluminium hull and superstructure, it carries a semi-displacement form that allows speed without compromising stability. Twin Caterpillar engines push it to 18 knots at full throttle, with a comfortable cruising speed of around 16 knots. At an economical pace of 10 knots, Raja can travel up to 3,500 nautical miles, giving her the range for extended journeys across the Mediterranean and beyond.

With accommodation for 12 guests in six cabins and space for a professional crew of 12, Raja balances exclusivity with practical comfort. This is a yacht designed not only for private enjoyment but also with charter flexibility and elegance in mind.

A Seamless Connection to the Sea

One of Raja’s most striking qualities is how it opens itself to the water. Wide beach club terraces, a folding balcony in the owner’s suite, and full-height glazing blur the line between interior and exterior. From the balcony, guests can watch the harbour unfold with an unbroken horizon, enjoying a sense of intimacy with the sea that few yachts of this size deliver.

Even at anchor, natural light floods the interiors. The connection with outdoors feels continuous, whether you are lounging in the sun, taking a swim, or observing the shifting palette of sea and sky.

Step inside and the interior of Raja reveals a carefully balanced composition of materials, textures, and light. The design philosophy brings together natural elements and luxurious finishes, each selected for both beauty and sensory impact.

Polished marble floors in hallways and entry zones contrast with plush carpeting beneath seating areas. In the dining room a dramatic black-veined stone plays against creamy beige leather chairs, melding solidity with softness. Gloss lacquered panels and brushed metal accents frame transitions and reflect ambient light.

Partition walls combine warm wood veneers and ribbed glass panels, allowing light to shift through spaces and creating visual rhythm. The upholstery palette moves between fine leathers, linen-blend fabrics, and textured weaves in neutrals, with occasional deep plum or navy accents to punctuate calmness.

In the main salon a sculptural chandelier hovers above a marble dining table. The lounge area features sofas in velvet and linen blends, their softness contrasting with the firmness of surrounding surfaces.

The owner’s suite has its own character: natural wood detailing, soft woven textiles, and full exposure to light through its folding balcony command both elegance and intimacy. Guest cabins echo this approach, using leather, fabric, warm woods, and marble in bathrooms to deliver comfort without sacrificing style.

Why Raja² Stands Apart

What makes Raja unique is not just her specifications but her purpose. Many yachts in the 50 to 60-metre class can claim speed, range, and luxe cabins. Raja moves beyond that by integrating architectural narrative and spatial design. This is not simply a yacht to stay on, it is a curated experience: light, texture, and sea views are woven into every transition.

For charter guests, it means spaces that feel generous yet considered. For owners, Raja becomes a floating residence, a silhouette of distinction, and a vessel that marries performance with personality.
